Zizhou or Zi Prefecture (淄州) was a ''zhou'' (prefecture) in imperial China centering on modern Zibo, Shandong, China. It existed (intermittently) from 596 until 1265. Between 1264 and 1265 it was briefly known as Zizhou Route (淄州路). ==Geography== The administrative region of Zizhou in the Tang dynasty is in modern central Shandong.
